Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Lovely shot of your son having fun last summer...

That looks like fun! I love that reflection too! As always, you capture the mood with a rich and profound sense of color! This image seems so casual and relaxing: not like it's intended to be anything other than the recognition of a mood, and maybe that's 'cause you captured a mood so perfectly here: a rich mood. It's relaxing, but there's a kind of electric jiggle to it, kinda like dancing in the woods with plenty of beer, tequila and vodka in coolers. I really like that and I really like this image.

Just looking at this I have tipped over in my chair and soaked myself with my glass of water! i can't imagine standing on one of those boards...maybe sit but perhaps I'd do better with a canoe or just riding my bike around the lake. LOL

I've seen guys doing this around Elliott Bay and Lake Washington. I don't think my balance would allow this, but it looks like fun!

Yes, beautiful reflections in the beautiful blue water as your son paddles his way along what I thought at first was a lake in Hawaii, M. They do have lakes in Hawaii, don't they?
