Description

Well, June 28, 2010 was the first day of my retirement after 25 years as a fireman... I left the station at 0700 and drove over and turned in my gear. I'm not really sure,yet,just how I feel about it... Everyone has been asking me what I'll be doing now and all I can come up with is photography, photography, photography and hopefully some travel to go along with that :) (somewhere along the way I may have to mow the lawn). Sooo, I'll try to keep you posted, LOL. Thank y'all for takin' the time to look!!! Manning

I retired from the Postal Service after 25 years. When I walked out the door for that last time, I never looked back. I have twice the life and love every moment. I wish for you the same!! Beautiful shot, and perfect for celebrating this big change!

Beautiful shot. I had to retire from the fire service in 1996 on my 55th birthday. I went to the station, which I had been in charge of for 16 years and when the time came at midnight to my birthday I bawled my eyes out. It took me several years to get over it because I was still fit and wanted to carry on. Since then they have lifted the retirement age!. Good luck to you my friend and colleague. Jeff.
