I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

Ha, caught in the act...Nikita trying to tell Gimpy to stop horsing around and act mannerly for your picture. Love Gimpy's eyes...they bore holes in me:)

Lol, yeah, don't they just look SO innocent!! My cat used to sleep ON me, and every so often would have to rearrange his bed, meaning he'd start walking and moving and it's so not comfortable in the middle of the night!!

This is funny! I like this a lot. Great shot of the two of them at play. Chip and I had a cat named Natasha several years ago. Her favorite pasttime was to climb up the window curtians and caterwall...usually around 4a.m. Nice work.

So very familiar! LOL I see this in my house with MissFITS and Gilda and often at 2 a.m. What beautiful "children" they are. Gorgeous form and points on the doxie! Too bad we don't live closer...Gilda could share a closet with Nikita. She's got jackets, hooded sweats, coats, sweaters, summer dresses, Harley accessories, grass skirt (as we saw in the Forum Challenge) and a nice variety of UV sunglasses for those long walks on the beach. :-) I know she'd love to play "fashion show" with your Nikita.

Very cute capture! :D You might want to try locking them out of your bedroom at night. ;)

That made me laugh! About as cute as it gets.
goodoleboy
Phantastic shot of your cute and guileless Gimpy in this fine capture, Carin, and after considerable study I did find Nikita in the background darkness, trying to look distant and uninvolved in all the activity.
danapommet
This is so cute especially the look on Gimpy's face. Delightful capture. Dana

This is absolutely delightful! I've had cats and I've had dogs and loved them all but there are differences. Gimpy has that typical "Why are you looking at me, I didn't do anything wrong" look while Nikita seems to say "I'm sorry, did I do something wrong?" Just a thought, if even cats and dogs can get along why can't we big-brained mammals do the same?
