Description
As they got closer to the hidden path that led to Lynia's tower they became more relaxed. With all the magical wards Lynia had set out in the area surrounfing her tower, they knew they didn't have to worry much about being on guard for the unexpected.
"Do you think she knows we're coming Vor?" Myni asked.
"If she didn't before, I'm sure she does by now. I've felt the presence of her protective spells for the last couple hours now. Between them and her animal friends, I'd say she'll probably be waiting for us at the tower entrance." Vorzul replied.
"I can't wait to see her again, it seems like its been forever!" She said excitedly. "We have so much to tell her. Like seeing Symea again and how we went in the desert, and the demon thing and..."
"Easy Myni," Vorzul said. He looked down at his little friend and smiled. "We'll have plenty of time to tell her all about it when we get there."
"I'm just so excited and happy to be back home! You know how I get Vor." she laughed.
"Yeah, you turn into quite the little chatter box! Makes me wonder if there's an off switch on you somewhere." He said with a grin.
A few hours later, as it was nearing sunset, they finally came to the end of the path. It opened up into a large clearing with Lynia's tower in the center of it. Myni broke into a run when she saw Lynia waiting for them. Vorzul just laughed and continued at his normal pace, which gave the girls time to get their initial excited greetings finished by the time he got there.
"Its about time you two got back here!" Lynia said. "I was beginning to think I was going to have to come looking for you."
"We had a minor set back," Vorzul said, with a quick glance towards Myni. "But all is well now." he added as he grabbed Lynia around the waist and lifted her for a quick kiss.
When he set her back down, Lynia looked up at him and said, "I sense you have an interesting tale to tell?"
Myni took a deep breath and started to reply "Boy do we! We went to..."
"Not yet Myni," Vorzul interrupted. "Lets wait until we've gotten a chance to get cleaned up first. Then we can kick back and relax while we tell her all about it."
"Good idea Vor." Lynia said. "You two really could use some cleaning too, I think I could smell you coming since early this morning!"
"Very funny!" He laughed. "I'm sure its not that bad!"
"Well, maybe not, but a bath wouldn't hurt!" Lynia grinned.
"Sounds good to me!" Myni piped up. "I'm always game for a bit of fun in that big ol pool of yours. Who's gonna wash my back?"
she asked as she headed inside.
"Some things never change, do they!" Vorzul said, following after is little friend. They could both hear the clatter of Myni's armor hitting the ground as she was stripping out of it before she even reached the pool.
"I'm just glad you both are back!" she said, smiling to herself as she turned to follow her friends.
