Description

Evitcepsrep or Mind Games 1 CONCEPT: This is an experiment in trying to break with conventional use of 3D art and truly explore the artistic and creative bounds of this medium. I have always seemed to want my images to match with our reality. When in fact there are truly no limits to what we can do and design in this digital cyber playground of the imagination. There are ABSLUTLY NO limits or rules of physics that say two objects CANNOT occupy the same three dimensional space and even break the with the laws of NATURE and the UNIVERSE ITSELF. EXPLANATION: You are actually seeing the face from the inside looking at the landscape but it also seems as if it is looking out of the picture at YOU at other times. It all is depending upon your minds Evitcepsrep or perspective that is. WIKAPEDIA DEFINITION: An optical illusion (also called a visual illusion) is characterized by visually perceived images that differ from objective reality. The information gathered by the eye is processed in the brain to give a percept that does not tally with a physical measurement of the stimulus source. There are three main types: literal optical illusions that create images that are different from the objects that make them, physiological ones that are the effects on the eyes and brain of excessive stimulation of a specific type (brightness, tilt, color, movement), and cognitive illusions where the eye and brain make unconscious inferences. They can also be known as "mind games". DETAILS: The sky is a picture of the water from below with caustic sunlight coming down and the orb in the sky is the DCMoonglow from DAZ. The landscape is RDNA’s Microcosm with the some scaling done on the alien mountains. The V4 is the DAZ V4 Mannequin TECHNICAL: Rendered using a point light from off scene to the right to light the inside of the face shape and a distant light from above with Uberlighting2 tweaked for speed and quality. Post work was basic color balance and enhancing of contrast that’s it. NOTES: Hope you enjoy and feel free to comment on this image or about the subject in general. Thanks for all the wonderful comments and favorites as of late. This is a 16:1 ratio image so feel free to download as a screensaver if you so desire.

Such a cool concept here Chris, and I must say you did a great job of coming up with this illusion. Like your point about there being no limits
