My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I can see where the inspiration came from. The part 'above the door' appears to be an almost direct copy. Very striking design and well captured.

Excellent composition on this, Tara! There's a lot to keep the eye engaged, and yet without being busy. Well done!

Lovely architecture, your photo serves it well. I can see the Crystal Palace influence in the structure of this classy conservatory. Love the detail, thanks for sharing with us.

What a beautiful Tara shot of this Victorian-style building with more than 3,000 plates of glass held in place by a marvelous wood and iron framework. Can you tell I wandered of to read your wiki article before writing this comment:) It is also a perfect white-on-white subject for this month's challenge...yup, I went off reviewing three pages there too. Is it any wonder that I can spend three hours commenting and get next to nothing done? LOL. Great presentation...

This is a very beautiful piece of work.. A credit to the craftsmen who built it and the restorers.. A fine shot indeed. Rob

This is superb! I love your above door and above window shots...as well as your other stuff, and I really must say that your postwork choices are quite exquisite here too! WOW! You've really captured the personality here...and because of a television show (now ended, but thankfully on DVD) I can say that the filter and the light have that nicely "alien sunlight" quality that tends to identify the planet Caprica and parts of Caprica City. Needless to say, I'd like that. Even more though, this is a good shot on its own, without mad SF TV references. Yeah, I like this a lot!

Cool looking...neat capture Tara
