Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  Â

LOL, Dana. That's one of the hardest things when we're on vaction, seeking out WiFi...in the Ossipee area we've done really well...and we have found that a lot of McDonald's have it. But way up north, naw...don't think the internet has reached there yet, LOL. Haven't been down the road above in many years!! Neat teepee. We actually stayed in one at a campground once. Was...interesting, LOL!!!

Beautiful photo :)

You need wireless with roaming or something. Amazing what internet withdrawl is like. Oh well. sounds like you survived. Just think back in the day living in a Teepee and using smoke signals. Uploading a message took some skill.

How dependent we've become on our internet connections, eh? I know exactly what you mean, it's so hard to be without even for a little while. And this "lodging" is a little primitive for me these days, although I have spent a fair amount of time in tents in my younger days! Sleeping on the ground is not an option now, unfortunately; I'd have an awful time trying to get up off of it!

Fantastic capture of the fantastic totem pole and tepee/wigwam, Dana! Really sharp in clarity. That totem pole is something else again. Unfortunate about your lack of Internet access.
