Description

Yesterday after uploading one airplane, the bug bit me again and I finished this one that has been kicking around on my desk top for 6 months:) I removed this aircraft from its' crowded background in the US Air Force Museum, added a dark cyan blue fill and added a frame just to keep in practice with a few things I don't do very often. Hope you like the different effect...or is it affect. LOL The "Blackbird" (SR-71) came out of Lockheed's Top Secret Skunk Works in the mid-1960s and was operational from 1966-1998. It did amazing things at speeds above mach 3 [approx. 2,304 mph or 3,708 kph] and holds speed records that are unbroken to this day. Bill:) P.S. Oops, just couldn't quite fit in the entire pitot tube...LOL "Boeing B&W" thumb_2079833.jpg

Wow Bill for it's age it still looks so incredibly modern and stealthy.

I really like the way this turned out! What you did to the background gives it sort of a blueprint look that retains the atmosphere but makes the plane really pop. Excellent postwork!

I love the way you did the postwork on this, Bill. It really makes the Blackbird stand out - and stand out it should. Truly a classic aircraft. It's maximum capablities are still classified to this day, as I understand it.

Amazing post work Bill. This baby replaced the U-2 if I remember correctly. A monster of a plane. Love the POV especially on that engine. Dana

Good to see you've been bitten Bill. Excellent postwork really makes this stand out. Hard to believe this has been operational since 66 as it still looks modern and stunning today.
