Description
you cannot hate anything unless you grok it, understand it so thoroughly that you merge with it and it merges with you... then can you hate. By hating yourself. But this implies that you love it, too, and cherish it and would not have it otherwise.
-Stranger In A Strange Land, Robert A. Heinlein

One of my favorite books =)
Okay, this render is not the image I started out to make. It's the closest I could manage, and for my second completed render ever (I've done numerous tests of poses and textures and whatnot and I've unsuccessfully messed with hair for countless hours) I think it turned out pretty well. the vision in my head was of Gillian Boardman, cupping water in her hands and holding them out while wearing a blue toga-ish sort of thing with pretty swirly hair and a lot of puffy cloud-ish/wave-ish material fluffing around her. For starters, I don't like her hair. But I had about ten layers of "Hair #" and I chose the one that was the most tolerable ;D Also, the water is VERY hard to see. I spent a long time on it too, so that's sad. Oh well. Also, my postwork on her shoulders was disastrous, so I just hid them. Out of sight, out of mind. And the background is not at all what I wantd, nor does this girl match the vision in my mind of Gillian Boardman. But overall, I'm pleased. PLEASE give me criticism--there is no way that I will ever improve if all I get is "oh, lovely!" or some such. I like compliments, but only if they come bundled with criticism, too. Thanks!! =)

Uhm. If you want to see the water, don't make everything else blue (unless you're going to have different colored water). Her face is very scary. But I like her hair and the middle part of the toga-thingy. :) -jaymastah

Yeah, I don't know why, but I can't seem to make faces smile and be titled at all without making them look like agents of Satan. =/
