There can't be many on the planet who don't know at least a little something about the Evening Primrose. It was one of many growing on the dunes, vying for space among the hundreds of wonderfuly scented pink and white Beach Roses (rugosa rose, Japanese rose, or Ramanas rose) which run the entire length of the beach and are a sight to behold when in full bloom. More of those later. As you can see, a most welcome shower of rain was falling and although sunshine is wonderful, the couple of hours I spent getting doused with water was the best!
