Description

This is the last in the series of 3 images on the wild flowers of Namibia that I have captured in 2009 after the desert were blessed with good rain! Although these ones are not the brightest of them all, they are some of my favourites. The little yellow buttons top left are so adorable but are so tiny. You can see it in comparison to the desert sand in which it grows. Bottom left are the most wonderful little blooms. They are greyish in color but no more than 2mm across. I am watching the third place play offs of the Soccer World Cup as I am uploading! At the moment it is drawn at 2/2 between Germany and Uruguay with less than 20 minutes to go! Stay well! Thank you for sharing these. We tend to think of the desert as just barren sand but with a little water seeds that have lain dormant for years quickly grow and bloom. Beautiful captures.

The little blue ones are a favorite for me. Much like rosemary but they seem even smaller...more delicate. These are all just marvelous!
