Description

Walking around Bear Skin Neck in Rockport, Massachusetts and spotted this carved wooden bear in someone’s garden. Thought of George right off the bat and here we are. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Sure looks rustic out there. Cool shot of the roughly sculptured and textured, wild eyed, wooden bear, Dana. It looks like its wearing boxing gloves and is all set to begin round #1.

What a find. This bear looks nothing like Cheburashka (a Soviet Era children's character) but for some reason it reminds me of that cute little guy: probably because when I first saw Cheburashka, I thought he was a bear with improbably large ears...but alas...no one can identify exactly WHAT Cheburashka is, other than dangerously cute. Anyway, enough about THAT...this is a great find and yeah, it's well seen and presented. It's got wonderful light and color. And now that I've commented at length, I'm gonna go to youtube and look for some classic Cheburashka episodes....

fabulous shot and it does remind me of George. There are many carvings like this in Yreka because that is in the redwoods.
