Description
This is all that I have left, from my one and only attempt, at stage acting. It only lasted three nights - one weekend. Yes, the beard and moustache was mine. I was about 35.

Yes, well...I thankfully have no photographic evidence of my one attempt at the stage... I was dressed up in a red yarn wig with striped stockings and bloomers on... I played the part of Raggedy Ann in a stage production of Babes in Toyland. I had to do gymnastics - tumbling, somersaults, cartwheels, etc. and ended up black and blue after the first performance. I'm not very graceful, but that's what they were looking for. I was looking for something more than bruises. :-)

I though Ullyses S Grant at first, but was then amazed after reading your narrative that this was actually you, handsomely clad in a Union uniform, Dana! Oh yes, stellar, superlative and supreme in this shot, taken moments before you had to face the rebels at Bull Run.
