Description

I am still in Namibia folks but back in the desert! Shortly after my return from my holiday somewhere in March/April this year I have posted 4 or 5 images of this marvelous volcanic mountain in the middle of the Namib desert in Namibia. They were all taken right at the mountain... and I have many more to post! This however is a pano I did with 5 images stitched in CS4 and gives a good view of the whole area. Do zoom - I tried to leave it as big as I can! Thank you for your support in comments and favs on my upload "just me and the sea" of yesterday! I really appreciate it! Stay well! Hugs Carin xx

Amazing landscape!! That is the hard part, knowing how level the background really is, or not. People seem to like it better level whether or not it is. ;c) The only way to tell for certain if there is a body of water nearby. Great pano, and these are hard to do. I have tried and failed many times, but once in a while it is as successful as this one.

This is most definitely a zoomer! WOW! What details. I can get lost in this, and in fact, I think I did. That's a good thing, however. What really struck me is the rock formation on the right. It looks as if it might actually be largely composed of solidified lava...it has that sort of 'extruded' look to it as if it oozed rather lazily and dripped as it flowed from higher to lower ground. I love it when rocks do that, when they give you the tiniest little glimpse into when they were less rock like. The whole scene is gorgeous, especially in the way the sky seems to darken a bit on the diagonal terminating toward the top right corner. Yeah, that's the kinda stuff that I love to see! This rocks!
