Description

From the 1985 movie, BACK TO THE FUTURE, captured 6/5/10, at the beautiful 25th Annual HB Concours, held at the beautiful Huntington Beach Central Park in beautiful Huntington Beach, California. Much better viewed full size. This is the actual DeLorean used in the film, that I was fortunate to photograph. Ya think enough doodads on this hyper warp speed car? Took some keen studio engineering ingenuity to come up with this concept; now, if it were only capable of time travel, that would be cool beyond our wildest hopes. For the very few who didn't see this entertaining film, following is a short synopsis: Marty McFly (Michael J Fox), a typical American teenager of the Eighties, is accidentally sent back to 1955 in a plutonium-powered DeLorean "time machine" invented by the slightly mad scientist, Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). During his often hysterical, always amazing trip back in time, Marty must make certain his teenage parents-to-be meet and fall in love - so he can get back to the future. Written by Robert Lynch Adios, thankx for the peek, and for any and all complimentary comments and faves.

Before reading your narrative I thought to myself that this can only be a "Back to the Future" car. No one in their right mind would mess up a car like this for any other reason! Great collage showing off this weird contraptions Harry!

This movie was pretty awesome (didn't care for the ones to follow). I'm not a huge movie fan, but I gave this time traveling trip a thumbs up...the car of course played a big part in my liking the movie. Very cool capture Harry!

Nice detail shots! On movie props like this, I always find myself carefully scanning the detail, trying to identify the origin of each piece.

GREAT shot and history! The movie, and it's SEQUELS, ended up doing MUCH better than Mr. DeLorean. WINK.

Lucky you to get to capture the "reel" thing...yes, it is awfully souped up, isn't it? Too bad it doesn't really work as a time machine, eh? Excellent series of shots giving us a better view of the details!

Very fun movie! It was a favorite of my son's for a while, so I saw it quite a few times and the sequels. Great images! I wonder what the special effects people thought when they saw their assignment. They surely didn't hold back in doing it. Time travel! That would be sweet! Precarious, but sweet! Love your new Avatar!

Very cool. Loved the movie. Me and various relatives saw it at least three times in the theatre. Might be kind of fun to go back to 1985! Well, maybe. I seem to recall the mid-Eighties as being a time of ugly box-like vechicles with trim that fell off, and "muscle" cars with 140 hp V8s.The gull-wing DeLorean was the obvious choice photogenically but I believe it was a bit of a dog performance wise in reality as well. At least it LOOKED cool. This is a wonderful series of shots that take you up close and personal with a classic movie icon. Kind of cool to see all the F/X gadgets close up. It's always fun to see Hollywood props up close, it makes it feel like your on the set while the filming is going on. Great shots.
