Description

Part of the Mayan exhibit, at the Palm Beach Zoo, Florida. This area features Central and South American animals such as Jaguars. I actually like the tree better than the stone head - ZOOM in and see for yourself. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

the tree is amazing with the vine trying to choke it.I have a similar shot in my gallery, but I thin this beats all I have seen

I once had several kitchen gods in stone but I turned them over to the Mexican government thinking they would go back to the country and culture from which they were removed over 70 years ago. They were stolen by the Mexican consulate here. I am remorseful. My family kept them save and used them to educate about the people who carved them. Now they are in someone's home as decoration... Lovely shot that reminds me that now all noble acts are truly noble.

Excellent capture! That tree would look so creepy dimly lit at night. Like something from a horror movie. ;)

Wow, those tree limbs are really wrapped up in a mass of roots or vines or whatever those are. And, the head doesn't appear too happy in its present state. Terrific lighting and texture in this capital capture, Dana!
