Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Fabulous!! The chance of winning our lottery is the same as accidently dialling the Queen's bedroom..so you must make a Plan B.

Great view. I love these mountain lakes, particularly early in the morning when everything is so quite and serene.

Oh, I love the view. Great comment from Andrea...I'm still dialing every now and then.

Superb golden reflections and textures in this superb shot of Donner Lake. Is that your son out there in the kayak? I believe I mentioned before that the Donner party, or what was left of them, had to resort to cannibalism to survive.

Oh serenity personified, may we form a queue behind you?

I think there WILL be a queue of home prospectors forming behind you. I suspect you'd start a Renderosity community there! That would be a good thing, because I'd definitely buy a house with a view like this...heck, I'd even build it brick by brick, timber by timber...well...maybe not...I'd hire someone to do it, and I'd just move in with cats and a Russian, then immediately go looking for little, multi-legged, flippered, or finned things near and in the water to photograph while everyone else admires the views. I'm like that, a bit weird, you know. This is a gorgeous view...and yeah, I'd count it as sunrise. Anything before Noon IS essentially sunrise, so you're right on the money with the title. Great work.

Outstanding capture and view. Andrea has already mentioned the odds but we can all still dream on. Dana
