I promised Harry (goodoleboy) I would shine up this old truck for him... well I tried.. hope you like it Harry. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I got some bad news about one of my cousins today, he had been out to Yosemite with his wife during the 4th of July weekend, and I guess the area was having a very bad problem with mosquitoes that week, well he was actually trying to help some kids in the water that were being swarmed by them when he got stung himself hundreds of times, he went to a doctor and was treated, but now he is back in the hospital in a tremendous amount of pain from the bites and infections and it is pretty serious. So Brad my thoughts are with you and Nadine and your family tonight. I wish everyone a great week ahead. And I will say that browsing around the gallery today I was so impressed by the beautiful artwork and also to see a few old friends and members back... good to see. Have a great night.

Fantastique, Lynell! Love that old timer in all its venerable glory! And an easy rival to all the elegant spic and span autos I put up on Renderosity. Thank you so much! I'm driven to tears with this exquisite dedication, my dear. Actually, I didn't even know they manufactured Chevys right after the war in 1946. Incidentally, I returned to the spot of the 1986 Buick LeSabre that I posted earlier and took more fotos of it, which I'll be posting at some future date. Sorry about your cousin being attacked while trying to rescue the kids from mosquitoes. First Carin's brother gets a heart attack and is in the hospital, and now this.

LOL I was JUST at Harrys gallery, admiring a beautiful shiny car, and then I come here and see this .. and thought oh wow, and to have it dedicated to Harry. PERFECT! lol Great looking old car ... Looks like one of several we have 'out back' here. Hopefully one day, my hubby will find the time to get one of them to sparkle again. :)

This is a fantastic pic...the way to my heart is usually through an image of rust! And this is spectacular. I love the colors. You have such an eye for this kind of stuff! I like it! I'm sorry to hear the bad news: hopefully your cousin makes a speedy recovery.
