Description

Once again I was browsing through my Butterfly photos from the San Diego Wild Animal Park that I had taken in March. Everytime I go through the images this one would catch my eye~ I finally have given in to myself, and decided to upload it. My previous image, "Taking a Rest", was chosen for "LWitG". Thanks for the recognition. It's an honor :) ...and thank you to you all who visit my gallery, leave me comments and faves. I always look forward to your comments. ...and yes, it is still HOT here. We have been well into triple digit temps for nearly a week now. I think my air conditioner has worked continuously... I dread the electric bill :P Have a wonderful week! Hugs, ~Melinda~

Excellent focus in this shot of the very stark light and dark effects, Melinda. It's cooled off quite a bit since late last week and the weekend. Only reached 90 degrees in my patio today. I hope it doesn't get any worse.

Butterflies always have the most amazing faces! This beauty is no exception! What a shot. Stellar clarity and I love the light. This is quite a marvelous piece of insect photography, and I love your focus on details as well as subject...the whole piece just fits together in the prefect way for maximum visual appeal. Wonderful colors too! Yeah, I like this. I'm curious about those plant tendrils...they're quite intriguing!
