This is lovely. It is so amazing how the wind carries things away and changes things, even moving mountains. CC

Wind is such an intriguing thing, especially when you factor in stuff like "solar wind" which isn't wind so much as particles spewed out by the sun...but anyway...rather than go on and on about astronomical stuff only tangentially related to wind, I'll focus on this gorgeous piece of work! The dynamics of it are quite amazing and I find myself drawn through the whole piece, following paths that are both apparent and not so apparent: so on that level, you've captured the wind marvelously! I particularly like the sense of color and the shapes all dancing around as if they are caught IN the invisible, but well-conveyed wind. This is really fantastic!

yes, it's of the wind, but it's also of the flow of life, like life through vessels. Or the movement of rivers over land and stone. Or a closeup of cells in action. Or of the heart pulsing and making its beauty visible. You are a natural colorist, you always have been, and your colors here do feel like fluid acrylics: They have the overlay and transparency of watercolors but also the thickness of solid acrylics. The veils of blues & pinks, etc, sitting on top of the colors below them are beautiful; and the way you spot colors all over, in blotches, makes this seem like a closeup of life. Your blues and violets are beautiful as always; and the veins running throughout make us feel that the life in this painting goes on far beyond its boundaries. I must've been absent when you put this up (I've been absent a lot this year), but boy is it great to come 'back' to this. It's beautiful. Another beautiful painting from you, filled with life & pulse & mystery. It must be gorgeous full size.

Thank you Mark. Always count a piece as being successful in the attempt when you make comment on them. Speak of flow of life; this piece came into view at the "dare" of younger grandson saying I could not climb the tree. We put ourselves into modes without being aware of them. (I.e. am old...not able to do this or that) Our minds have a way of trumping our physical limits. Spontaneous and without hesitation climbed up behind him and laughed in unison. Begged off climbing higher after him and paused, knowing this was "our special time". Not so much for him as the child within and the memory he created for me. Had "started" this piece many moons ago. Not knowing where to go with it sat it within a sleeve and waited. While sitting up on the tree limb took in the light, atmosphere and the elements around us; to mark my minds' eye. The piece came back to visual eye and began wondering if could develop it with these elements; specifically the wind. Have hopes for the work; it is alive and "free" in association with a moment in time cataloged. Nothing like a child to make one stop and experience life.
