this piece has been submitted to PA Watercolor Society in hopes of being selected in August. Dream, that tends to be what do best these days (while painting) it is a reality that can alter among the actual day to day living.

spell check.....must use spell check (smile) Have to use the other side of my brain when posting; does give you insight into why I paint rather than write. Alas our days now start being shorter. This is the Grotto Falls of the Smokey Mountain Gatlinburg area. Granted the morning shot the images for this piece; was very "foggy". The forest was heavy with dew and the higher walked the more laden the air. In my mind's eye it became a midnight vision that reflect on to create peace.

Your art is always so beautiful. This has a lushness and boldness, and yet like a dream with its subtle colors. No question this will be selected. And thanks for posting a little larger image to better experience your work. CC

I most-definitely hope that this is selected! It is quite a marvelous and dream-like piece! I've seen this and the original, and I'll comment on the original after this piece. I love the delicate qualities of this, the supreme watercolor feel that this has: okay it is a watercolor, but it really captures the essence of that particular artistic discipline, especially in that it has the emotional impact of a Japanese watercolor...I'm thinking of all of that "Floating World" stuff that I love so much. This has a sharper sense of realism but an equally dream like quality in terms of what I see in the Ukiyo-e style artwork of Japan. This is a marvelous piece of work!
