Description

Photographed at the NSRA(UK) Street Rod Nationals back in 2007 I just love the Gasser stance and wild paint job on this 1948 Austin Devon. Powered by a 289 Ford small block backed up by a C4 auto box, this car was originally built in the early 80's. Like so many 'project cars' it hid in a lock up garage for over 15 years until it was finally purchased by it's current owner. The car runs on Magnesium Halibrand wheels on the rear & ET 10 spokes on the front. The car made it's debute in plain yellow in 2005 and finally received the fabulous paint job in 2007 to complete the 'Gasser' look representative of 1960's drag racers. "Where does the name come from"? I have fond memories of a cartoon Viking character called 'Noggin the Nog' and his arch enemy was his uncle, Yep you guessed it 'Nogbad the Bad'.
