My name is Phil and I'm married to Gail. I was born and raised in the Cambridgeshire, Fenlands of the Uk and have worked at a local diesel engine manufacturer as an engineer for 36 years.  My hobbies include gardening, attending live music events and all sorts of motorsport (especially oval racing). I am involved in our local folk festival ( www.strawbear.org.uk ) and my claim to fame is that I was 'the bear' for 16 years! I also perform as part of a local Longsword team 'Wype Doles Longsword' ( we perform English traditional dance from north east Yorkshire). My lovely wife Gail and I thoroughly enjoy viewing the images posted on Rendo and intially shared our membership and made joint comments on the photos we saw. Sadly it was pointed out to us that the Rendo rules state that the images must be the work of one person, so for now it's goodbye Gail and all you'll see is my own work!I really appreciate your comments and heed any advice given, as I really wish to hone my craft with a camera. I find everyone elses photos are a great inspiration and I thank you all for sharing your images and lifes experiences.   Thank you again for looking at my photos, I hope you enjoy them.Phil

I had a 55' Chevy and a 57'. I loved both. the 55 had a six and the 57' a 283. when you are young, to me anything with wheels that would run was awesome. I seldom did anything to modify any of my cars, because I wanted to have some spare money to be able to make repairs.my son is 38 and I doubt if he has ever learned that fact. this car looks like a Russian model

I can certainly see why you liked it...know it must have made you feel great. Let's see in 1979 I was driving a 1969 Pontiac 4-door family sedan (ho-hum) and a British Racing Green 1976 Fiat Spyder that I just loved...until body rust set in:)
