Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I can't say that eggplant is my favorite as well, but I had a pretty rockin' eggplant dish over in Prague...it was basically a kind of eggplant paste good for dipping or spreading on crackers/bread or something like that. The garlic in it helped a lot. It was amazing and so now I really like that version of eggplant! I like this image as well...the way the light shines through the colors is really satisfying! As always, you do colors so well and this just rocks. Nice textures too...plant fuzz is always so cute.

Cool in a most stark manner, M! I've never eaten eggplant, and as things stand, I don't ever intend to. It's all cruciferous veggies for me, i.e., cauliflower, broccoli, and brussels sprouts.

I've never seen an eggplant plant before either. Lovely color and capture. Ah, eggplant parm - makes me hungry. Well actually, everything makes me hungry. Dana

As a youth, I didn't like eggplant. But when I was stationed in Japan, they deep fried it in egg batter. I didn't know what it was when I ate it. I asked, what is this delicious food. I just was surprised it was eggplant. I ate it almost every day for about 3 months, lol. I guess it depends on how you cook it. I have the green and purple ones growing in my garden. Nice shot. Aloha
