Description

As I crossed the Golden Gate Bridge a couple of weeks ago, I noticed the top being obscured by the fog. So I did what us sneaky photog types do--I grabbed my camera, shot blind as I drove, and this is what I got. It kinda has that "end of the world" feel to it.

MMM! Could be the end of world if you do that while you're driving! SUPERB result, though.

remind me of a file I watched as a bridge like the Gate here was tore up by big winds. The bridge started to twist and turn as the windes moved the bridge and people jump out the cars and started to run back to land. The bridge then broke apart and cars and all fall into the sea. I do not know if people got killed or not

Excellent capture of our little bridge. I love the postwork on this. I have one question. What lane where in? LOL

Cool image. But what happened to the roadway and traffic? Retouched them away?

Someone needs to mow that bridge!!!!! OK I'm gonna drop a name now! Ava Gardiner stayed with my grandma when she came to Melbourne in 1959 (I think) to make on the beach. And she thought our backward little town was the perfect place to film the end of the earth!!!!!!!!! ON THE BEACH!!!!

Great shot - I love how the fog comes in so quickly - and retracts just as quickly along this part of the coast.

Old bridges never die, they just fade away (just thought I'd modify General Douglas MacArthur's famous expression). Super gothic in this excellent and inadvertent shot through the windshield, Marilyn.

Haven't seen this view for years...you are just leaving Marin County headed into San Francisco...I lived at the other end of the bridge in the fog bank to the left;-)

WOW! What a shot! Kind of a stunt shot considering the way in which you took it! Stunt shots are kinda cool because you never really know how they're gonna turn out and well...this turned out spectacularly! I like the sort of otherworldly and even apocalyptic vibe this has and your quick thinking paid off in spades. This is so moody, so delicious, so WOW! Awesome! Yeah, I do use that word on occasion...usually when something big is involved with whatever attains that descriptor and well...what's this bridge if not awesome! WOW! You really produced a stunner here! Really, really, extremely, very nice!

Hi Marilyn, this gate is so famous in the world, here in Europe too. And it is real funny, to see this bridge in another, normal view, not like the title of a calender. Wonderful shot, thankyou for sharing, all the best, Bernd PS: It is an example, how the photographers here in renderosity bring the world to the other members, in a normal view, that is wonderful.
