Description

96 new pictures, I have posted 96 new images from my redesign of my spaceship USS Shenandoah. This is the second spaceship that I have redesign that I currently have in my inventory. The pictures show the redesign of a new Lander (USS Olympus) and a new support frame for the Lander. I have also redesign the command module front, top, side, and rear including, new engines, (not shown at this time) a redesign of the EVA hatch (both round and rectangular) and new fuel tank with supports for the rear of HAB. This model as all my models have been created using the Booleans objects that come with Bryce 5.5 through the Bryce 7 beta. All the parts that you see in these images are making the model weigh in at over 600 Megs and is still growing. I have also been rendering the Lander and its heatshield as it passes through the Martian atmosphere plus as it touches down and after landing and hope to have some of these pictures available soon. Like all my designs, they are a work in progress and if you would like to see the actual picture please visit my website http://www.bambam131.com . I do realize that there is probably an easier way to model using programs that are actually design as modelers but that is what make this interesting and fun IMHO. There are a few artist here at Renderosity that I believe feel the same as I and so I dedicate these picture to you. Not everyone has the patients or aptitude that we have and I mention you for your inspiration and encouragement that you have shown me over the years. Artist like (in no particular order) wblack, NefariousDrO, geirla, kjer_99, dcmstarships, zapper1977, TheBryster, RobertJ, vncnt9663, rj001, carib98, amapitodd, duo, and TomPeters just to mention a few as there has been too many to list them all. To all of you that continue to push the envelope for creativity thanks for the inspiration! All the best, David

Wow! It's more like you're an inspiration to us. I'd really like to see the whole thing put together (or, if it's one your site, I can't seem to find it). I'm looking forward to more pictures of this massively wonderful model.

Sure, Bryce may not be a modeling app, but you've done a great job here with this. Some amazing stuff can be done with what Bryce has to offer, and being able to get something that looks as good as anything that can be coaxed out of another program is an accomplishment. Keep at it!

Jaw dropping levels of detail and all the more amazing by the fact that you boolean these beauties. Now, if only your Space Program was the one NASA was going to use ...

Wow, is right! I totally agree with geirla, you've been a huge inspiration to us, and I'm very humbled to find you listing me amongst in your list, thank you for the accolade. But again, as the above images show, you've been incredibly inspirational for us, the work you do is wonderful, astonishing, and yes, inspiring. I'm always in awe of your modeling skills.

Thank you David. Likewise, over the years you were and are still the one of the persons at this site that showed me there is no limit to what can be created in Bryce if you put your mind to it. It has been said already but worth repeating, you are the inspiration to us that follows your work. Your Boolean are like brush strokes on a canvas. Bravo!
