Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

I am sorry to hear about Gary's home. I am glad he was able to get his things out of there and that he is at peace with this. Sending prayers his way. I am sitting thinking that everyone is just a little to close for my comfort to the lava. Don't care if it has cooled. I don't thing I would be that brave.

Speechless. Looks like a narrow escape for Gary.

Puts most people's tiny problems into sharp perspective. Thank you for sharing & I sincerely hope there was eventually a good outcome. Best, Steve.

At first, Gary moved in with his girl friend which wasn't to far from his lot. But eventually, the girl friend house was over run by the lava too. She didn't wan't anyone to film or photographing her house when the lava consumed it as it wasn't easy to watch all yours going down....and in respect, I didn't photo it. They went back to the mainland (states) but I think they had cme back to Hawaii. I haven't seen them yet... Aloha
