Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Lovely shot of this beauty I have a red car too with sagging muscles.. The hot guys that drove these in your day are probably bald, fat and drunk lol.. and have hot sons driving something with a turbo lol..

Thats a great red. Do you know what type of car it is? I've been searching the net trying to identify it without any luck! It's not one I've seen over here in Kangarooville......

''The cars still rock, but the guys, well, they've slowed down a bit.'' BEACHZZ: FIRST, WONDERFUL photo of MEMORY LANE for this old geezer! SECOND, we 'guys' slowed down due to all the CHASING of you 'girls' who seemed to LUV the HOT cars and guys with THEM but NOT the NOT so hot cars and THOSE guys. GRINS. (My FIVE sisters always complained that us 'GUYS' only valued 'looks'.) WINK. Now, if only us OLD men could find a way to 'turn back' our 'odometers' somehow. My 'tires' are so worn at my age ya' can see the 'air' in them. SMILES. My BEST to you and yours, KIND SOUL .... TallPockets/brian.

LOL at Brian! Here it's mainly old guys who can afford flash cars, as in 'What part of his bank balance first attracted you to your 70 year old husband?'

Beautiful red and cool chrome in this fine capture of the gleaming old timer, Maz! Looks like fun. I'm going to have to try doing a car show one of these days.

Wonderful! I love the comments this gets as much as the picture itself! This is quite a hottie, and I'll bet that the hot guys in hot cars have only slowed down because there's only a limited amount of hotness allotted to all humans but they go through it rather quickly when they're young and learn--the hard way--that they burned it all off when they least needed it! Funny how that works! I love the red in this, by the way...that sort of ripe automotive red! The hood up is the icing on the cake!
MrsLubner
you lived in a different town then me...the guys who drove these hot cars were far from hot...they had acne-inflamed faces, greased back hair and the attitude of a dog... but oh, those cars were hot. LOL

love the red warm hugs, Linda

Nostalgia galore:) Great presentation. Good old days...when a regular guy could pull out his tool box and accomplish miracles under the hood. Then along came emission controls and later computer chips and those days were gone for ever.

What a great shot! That red is glorious, and the light glints so nicely! :)

Nice 66 Chevelle! Love the red and the way the bright light makes it look like it has some how descended on a shaft fo light from muscle car heaven.Way cool. Muscle cars were the first cars I EVER remember paying attention to as a little kid. I don't recall being interested in cars at all until I saw my first sport job. I remember it clearly... it was the spring of 1969 and my mom and I were going over the George Washington Bridge in a Rambler station wagon when this blur of gleaming red roared up next to us, held there just long enough for me to get a good look and then raced away like a space craft. I later found out the red blur was a brand new Dodge Charger. After that I was hooked. Great shot!
