Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Nice! You know, I knew a girl named Chevelle! I knew a guy named Caprice! I wonder if they were named after the places where they were conceived, or if their parents were just the sort of people to name their kids after cars and other inanimate objects...nowadays, people have names that sound a bit like pharmaceutical products (Levitra is a perfect example! But ah...that's a ramble for another time and it's also disturbing proof that I live in a neighborhood where such names are common!) On the flipside of all of that, this is a marvelous shot! I love the shiny quality of it, the darkened surroundings and the whole muscle car vibe this exudes: kinda like a sexy combination of car exhaust and testosterone (in that one balance that is appealing rather than stinky and annoying.) This is a nice puppy. I like it! WOW...and congratulations on hitting the 1800s in terms of posts! I look forward to at least 1800 more!

Nice! And a great shot!

Stunning work, M. I remember cars well. A couple of guys in my HS class had them and constantly circle our favorite burger drive-in with an occasional break to refuel or race.

Car Parts Show, goes with the Johnny Cash song, 'One piece at a time'! Looking at the body style this is a 70 model as the chevelle gained some curves from 68 onwards and gained a grille change in 70 so the head lights are the giveaway in this shot. Still can't beat a muscle car for 'go faster looks' whilst standing still!

Great looking shot of a great looking car! I know everybody hates a know-it-all, but this is actually a 1970 Chevelle. No matter, it's still a nice shot! Love the lighting effect post work you've done and congrats on 1800 pix!
