Description

Prae is working on some boots to go with her Euros set, and let me try the beta version--they worked fine for me, though she found some loose ends she wanted to fix. I did some quick test renders and I also wanted to try the Mil4 kids and Noggins chicken. Rather than just render little gray things, I fixed them up a bit (but just barely) to go with the bug comic, though there is nothing happening here besides Randy getting some mail-order boots from New Zealand and trying them on by the front porch of the farm house. The little kid is his and Rain's cousin Naomi, and when she picked up the boot Randy said "You aren't going to put that in your mouth, are you?" (Naomi is getting those itchy side teeth in.) Naomi slowly shakes her head, being a woman of few words, and then slowly lifts it up to her head... and then bites down hard on the upper edge, leaving two little teeth marks. Randy bellows "Naomi!!", which makes Naomi giggle hysterically and scamper off with the boot. Rather than chase her, Randy tries on the tall, fancy boots. Rain's Aunt Marian (in the blue outfit) comes looking for Naomi, says, "those boots are quite the thing. You are just wearing those in town, right?" And then the awkward question, "How much did those cost?" And then Randy has to point out that they are an investment, since they are from a famous designer;)he's able to distract her by pointing out Naomi climbing the paddock wall, and she goes off to retrieve her neice. (Rain has his father, and two uncles and their wives living on the farm as well as his grandfather and assorted cousins, not to mention stable hands, two shepherds and a full time vet.) ----------------------- The mil4 kids are cute. I guess I need to go buy some stuff for them, since just my painting isn't quite enough (though Naomi *is* that grubby)

It's pretty scribblicious;) I wouldn't mind some of those boots myself, though I'd have to wear them to the grocery store and the bank:)

I like everything about this one, especialy those boots. I have a trauma ... I love boots but here in my hot city it's unlikely to use them. Great work Lynn! Hug!

i like how you've put your testing to good (and fun) use. the boots are cool, too. you did a great job on Naomi and Marian. they're definitely characters i'd like to see more of. i actually find K4 mostly creepy and oddly proportioned, but you've done a good job of making the girl look cute. i absolutely love Marian's outfit.

Right boots can add soooo much to any scene... :) You have made a nice mini portfolio for those boots, Lynn! Every picture of the 3 tells a story - I especially like the one with the curious chicken! :D

I like those tall boots :) Very interesting little scenes, I like them. I don't know how you can work so fast, doing three scenes like that, especially when you paint some of the clothes and some of the background. Nicely done!
