Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

One of my husbands had one...I think it was the first one... and I loved the look. What a shame I was so terrified of riding on one, especially when he kept coming home with half his skin scraped off and the bike in pieces until I finally put my foot down and made him sell it before I became a widow...which may have been cheaper in the long run than eventually divorcing him. LOL Great shot and exactly what I remember being parked in the driveway.

I always liked the look and sound of the Triumph, but always remembered seeing them, brand new in the showroom, with a square of cardboard under each engine to catch the oil drips, and they were brand new! Anyway, that reminded me of the story of why the British do not make computers...because they haven't found a way to make them leak oil! No offense intended, LOL!

I've never ridden this style of bike. I've taken my mates Hayabusa for a few spins and it was brutal in every way. It was like lying on a huge blue pig! This old gal looks like it would actually be 'comfortable' and your face wouldnt be ripped off by the acceleration. I love riding them when I get the chance, but am scared stiff of being a pillion passenger!

My brother made a Triton from a Norton featherbed frame and a Triumph engine. I always wondered why he didn't make a Norumph out of the rest.

One of our room mates in college in had a Triumph 650. Someone tried to steal it but was unsuccessful at that time. To be safe, he took his bike to the fifth floor and chain it to a rail next to his room. In his dreams, he heard jingles, clinks and chimes. When he woke up, his bike was gone....sad. He thought he was dreaming..... Every time I see a Triumph, it bring back memories, lol. Aloha

Had one myself back in my youth...drove it all over the cornfields until my brother borrowed it and hit the Silo trying to show off in front of his girlfriend. He lived ...Unfortunately the forks on the bike didn't...Was a fast little bike I'll grant you that. Thanks for posting this...brought back a few memories. -Will-
