Description

. . . when you're a sea otter at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. You live in a beautiful tank with a couple of friends, they feed you several times a day and you're the object of countless "ah's" a day from enraptured visitors. No animal at the aquarium is more iconic than the sea otter - his image is everywhere - probably more than half of the items in the aquarium's gift shop are sea otter themed. There's even a shop right outside the front door that sells only sea otter t-shirts. Sea otters are special to me because they were Mrs Seadog's absolute favorite animal. Our house is populated with sea otter pictures, sea otter drawings, sea otter trinkets of various sizes, and half a dozen sea otter refrigerator magnets. I got to the sea otter tank shortly after the aquarium opened and had the view all to myself for a while - which allowed me to capture this shot. Mrs. Seadog would be pleased. Enjoy

This is a sublime shot. It had the contentment of the otter and the good feeling of being free all rolled in one shot.

Hi Dennis, a good shot. And that remember me, I could co a walk with my dog in the zoo. There are many otters too. And in a large park nearby there live two otters in the ponds. Otters are really like clowns, very funny. All the best Bernd
