Description

Character study for “Marilyn” from my Orion’s Arm series. Background construction involved a rigorous series of renders in both DAZ Studio and in Poser and exhaustive post-work labor (of more hours than I care to recall with my face in the monitor zoomed in to 1500x) going pixel by pixel with the selection-tool in order to crop and past together multiple renders of Stonemason’s Urban Future 2 to produce the perspective, atmospheric effects generated in both DAZ Studio and in Poser. As always, thank you all for your comments and support.

So you have been surrering for your art, William, and so you should too :) and this is Marilyn in the cyberflesh! It catches the mood of your story. I particularly like the atmospherics and the male face is very well rendered, so are his pants. Most impressive though are the rain drops on her legs. You work has paid off again :)

Very nice looking environment, with the rain and all. Sounds like you did more work "unrendering" than rendering to get the effect you wanted. Hopefully there is a better way out there somewhere.

well worth the effort, great looking image with plenty to occupy the eyes and mind. the detail in the full size is fantastic. for me the process is as much a part of an image as the finished product, and I am sure as you saw this coming together, in between the tedium of tweeking pixels, it must have put a smile on your face. isn't it funny that artists, once we put ourselves through all that painstaking work, as soon as we are done we just start it all over on the next one! lol. Great job.

Incredible result William, outstanding Image. Postworking an image is the part I enjoy the most because it's you in control not the Puter but it can get tedious and time consuming. Peace

Absolutely beautiful image! Seems like you put a hell of a lot of time and effort into the scene but it definitely paid off. I love the rainy atmosphere, it's very moody and effective. I'm curious, what clothing did you use for the male figure? The sweatshirt and pants look great.
