Description

Built 100 years ago, out of use for the last 65, this coastal artillery battery has aged in graceful and not-so-graceful ways. This wall shows patches where graffiti was sprayed over, an abundance of black mold (ubiquitous in this area of the world), and the cracks of settling in. Battery Kinzie at Fort Worden in Washington State.

Amazing how these structures have lasted and a great catch to save the history of this place. Dana

Beautiful capture, Tara! This is excellent - I love the pastel colors and textures, and the composition is superb! What a wonderful place this must be for photography!
