Description

My son clearing some of the tall grass out the way. I do have a shot of just the tree and headstone but I thought this shot was better

Wow. When a tree grows, it just swallows up whatever is in it's way. An amazing image, and this to me just shows how very old that tree is .. and how old that cemetery is I am really enjoying this series.

Utterly cool textures and composition in this shot, Jock. And a spider web tattoo on your son's elbow?

Awesome capture Jocko! It looks like the tree is holding the head stone. I'm happy that you, and your son, could clear some of the area. Dana

I love graveyards. You can feel the presence of generations. The sense of time and of spirit is a great feeling. I don't find them spooky. I find them enlightening, and I used to lvoe sitting in graveyards as a child. Maybe I'm just strange. Thank you for sharing these images!

Oh wow, that tree is literally swallowing the head stone! Very cool shot, the scene and your son with the machete makes for quite a story.
