Description
This is the same dragonfly as the one in my previous upload, "It's a Dragonfly". I just zoomed, by stepping closer :). I cropped this instead of re-sizing.
I am heading to Newport Beach for the night... Yay! See ya soon.

Wow Melinda, This is fantastic! I love Blue and the Green Darners the most, all dragonflies fascinate me. I have a slight case of camera envy, my Cannon PowerShot A 630 just doesn't cut the mustard. What a stunning, absolutely gorgeous job you did with this. I also find that cropping rather than zooming works wonders! I really admire the clarity of this and the intense details you've captured. Dragonflies are such gorgeous creatures, but their faces are often very hard to discern--they always look like grinning helicopters to me and so seeing this really puts that grinning helicopter expression they commonly wear into a fresh, new perspective. This is a gorgeous shot, and this is one of the many reasons why I love insects. You just don't get beauty like this outside of the insect world. You get beauty, absolutely, but not like this and this is amazing!
