Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

my dad was there in the late 1930's. he say they was no rails up at the time and he almost slide off. He did lost a camera he had at the time. it went over the side of the mountian here and down to the base.

Fine montage of Half Dome and the eager visitors, Marilyn! I haven't been to Yosemite since the mid 50s, when there was a much smaller population and driving was easier. Ergo, the good old days.

WOW! I like this collage! The people all look as if they're gathered to witness some incredible event...probably involving a brightly-lit mothership due to arrive at sundown for quite cinematic and spectacular reasons...oh wait...that's not a new idea, Stephen Speilberg already did that! Oh well...this is still a fantastic collage and I love the focus on the people focused on the landscape. Quite nice!

Fantastic collage Marilyn. Amazing how long people will wait for that "money shot". I know that you got it - it's right there in the middle of your collage. Dana
