Marko slowly circled the building's top floor. Karyn shouted for him to stop and hover. Pointing at one of the windows, she turned to her daughter. "What does that look like to you?" She asked with a grin. "That looks like a pair of legs. And judging by the way they're kicking, I'd say she's bored." Kaleena grinned back at her mother. "Let's do something about that boredom, shall we?" Kaleena then leapt from the LAAT/I to land in the glassless window. "That girl is insane." Karyn muttered into her headset. "Like mother, like daughter." Marko quipped to Kipper. "I heard that" The woman grumbled. "You were meant to." He said with a laugh. Nani sat in the cradle of chains she'd made, her legs kicking back and forth. She'd managed to break one of the manacles using the force, and was stretching the metal of the other when she heard the noise. It sounded like a LAAT/I! The teen turned to the window just as a woman landed in it. "Hi!" She said with a smile. "Are you Nani?" When the girl nodded Kaleena pulled out some kind of handheld device. When Kaleena noticed Nani's interest, she held it up. "It's a gift from a friend. It's called a tricorder. It's a scanner, and a very powerful one." Kaleena made several passes, before putting it away. "No traps except for the door leading to the roof. Let me help you get out of that manacle." Pulling out her vibro blade, she quickly cut through the chain. "Now let's get out of here." When they climbed into the window, Marko brought the wing of the LAAT/I close enough that the two of them were able to step out onto it and run up the non-skid surface until they reached the hatch on top. Kaleena opened it and let Nani jump in, then she followed. Inside Karyn was talking excitedly on her headset. "Yes, a bomb! No, I don't know what kind." She said. "It's a Xeer Corporation Series 98 demo charge." Her daughter told her. Karyn relayed the information. "Yes." She said rolling her eyes. "I know those things are very illegal. But my daughter is a demolitions expert, so if she says that's what it is, that's what it is." "Tell them that the place is boobytrapped, and that the bomb itself is going to go off in one hour, fifteen minutes." Kaleena added as the LAAT/I pulled away, the rising sun casting a red glow over everything. Pulling out her comlink, she called her father. "Father! We have Nani, and are heading to the residence. The psycho's all yours." "Excellent!" Was all her father said before he severed the connection. Back at the Montal Corporation hanger, Stefan gathered up half his crew and set off down the tunnel. He was hoping she'd try something. Stefan took his job of protecting Magenta, her family, and her employees very seriously.
