Pehn Orell stood watching Joshua scan the chamber they found themselves in. He was trying to find a way to shut down the force field that protected the holocron that taunted them from where it floated obove the floor. Joshua smiled and turned to the Cerinian. "I know what to do. I'll send out a pulse of energy to the power converter overhead. this pulse will cause a surge in the field projectors, causing them to spike at an exponential rate. And this spike will cause a coresponding drop in field strength, allowing us to retrieve the holocron." "What language was that?" Pehn asked with a confused look. "And can you translate it?" "It's called Techno Babble." Joshua told her with a grin. "My people have a habit of taking the simplest things and make them sound more difficult than they really are. What I just said is basically, I'm going to cause the force field projectors to overload." Fiddling with his tricorder, the two then waited as the force field brightened. With a pop, the globe suddenly disappeared. The Jedi snatched the falling pyramid and pulled it to her hand. "Gotcha Palpy!" She whispered to it. Pehn stood lost in thought for a moment before turning and removing Joshua's helmet. Dropping it and the holocron to the ground, she kissed the Human passionately. When she finished, she wrapped her arms around her man and held him tightly. "And I'm happy to have you back too." Joshua told her tenderly. His eyes then narrowed, and his nostrils flared slightly as he sniffed. "You were not joking." He said. "You are pregnant!" "You're not angry are you?" "Hell no! I'm ecstatic!" He said as he embraced her as well. "Hey! Not so hard." Pehn told Kirk. "That armor hurts." "Oh, sorry. Let's go. It's time I got out of this stuff. I've been in it for about fifteen hours." Bending over, he grabbed the holocron and his helmet. When he got back up, he found himself facing five men who wore the same face. Yet even though they looked alike, he could feel their differing personalities. One stepped forward. Joshua knew it was Kheziin Serro. "Thank you." He said in a voice that, while clear, sounded as if it was coming from the other side of Coruscant. "Thank you for saving us. But please, destroy that thing." He said, pointing to Palpatine's holocron. Joshua nodded. The men smiled one last time and faded from view. Swivelling about, Joshua found Pehn, Ateia, Stefan and two dozen of his men and women eyeing him warily. "You saw the dead, didn't you?" Ateia asked him. "Yes." Kirk replied, looking to Pehn. "The same thing happened at Sora. And their singing was much more impressive than our's." The others turned to leave. when they passed the bodies of the four GAR troopers, a blinding light suddenly illuminated the chamber. Spinning about, Joshua Kirk was walking away from the holocron that was now melting on the floor. "Why did you do that?" The Cerinian demanded. "You don't destroy knowledge!" "Oh,come on! Those Sith holocrons are dangerous! How many Jedi have fallen because of the things they've learned from those things?" Joshua shot back at her before turning to Ateia. "Or by the temptation of finding one. No, those five men asked me to do this, and I felt it was the right thing to do. Now let's get out of here. Some of us have to talk about more important things.
