Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This is the reason why Wiltshire men from Devizes are called 'Moonrakers'. Legend has it that a few hundred years ago a group of men out on the town under a full moon, came accross the reflection in a pond and fetched hay rakes to drag this ball of gold out of the water. This is a nice shot.

Cool photo Marilyn...reminds me of... All that 'glisters' isn't gold...hmmmmm, not often does one get to quote Shakespeare on Rendo:) "All that glisters is not gold; Often have you heard that told: Many a man his life hath sold But my outside to behold: Gilded tombs do worms enfold. Had you been as wise as bold, Young in limbs, in judgement old Your answer had not been inscroll'd Fare you well, your suit is cold." Merchant of Venice

Yeah the water looks great...my kind of shot!

Doesn't natural light do wonders for the rocks on the bottom of the lake. The early bird gets the best shot. Dana

Who needs gold when you've got THIS! I mean, like...WOW! This is an amazing shot; enough to that I slipped into surfer-dude-speak...a rare, but fun occurrence. You have such a great focus on all of the details here...those pebbles, those tiny little waves...everything. This is amazingly beautiful.
