Description
Cavallette e Grilli
Grasshoppers and Crickets
The insects are commonly called Orthoptera Grasshoppers, Crickets and Locusts. They have medium-large head with large and robust body. Features are more developed and the hind legs adapted for jumping. Orthoptera The name derives from the greek = pter wing orthos = right or disk. In fact, in winged forms, the forewings (tegmina) are more leathery than the hindlimbs. The emission of sound characteristic of these insects. The Orthoptera are shedding their traditional singing, usually in two different ways: by friction or rubbing of tegmina tegmina on the hind femora. In Europe there are about 900 species, over 300 in Italy.

Colpo affascinante. Bello. Colpo eccellente. Fascinating shot.Looks like he is walking a tight-rope. I like how you crept up behind him so we could see his lovely coloring on his back. Beautiful. Excellent shot.
