Description

There's a lovely water feature at Volunteer Park with a few koi and all sorts of aquatic plants. Despite it being in a public park and right on a main walkway, it's quite a peaceful place to stop. There's just something relaxing about water, isn't there?

I’m drawn to water…like a fish. Reflections are fascinating and you’ve captured them beautifully. Very nice contrast. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, beautiful! I love how the round shape of the lilypads make such a wonderful counterpoint to the straight reeds and reflections of the mounded greenery. Well captured!

Beautiful shot! And yes, there is something VERY peaceful about water...I'm sitting in the living room right now, listening to the sound of the waterfall of our koi pond. I'm soon to join the fish in the pond to hand out shrimp and Cheerios to the greedy koi, LOL.

This is quite a stunning shot and it's got my story-muse working on overtime...that's a good thing though. I love the details in this; the whole ambiance conveyed through the dance of light and shadow, color and form...that nice parabolic arc of the pool's edge is the first thing I noticed. I really love all of the details and it's got me to thinking...what if all of those water plants and such are simply the roots of OTHER plants in the reflection-world which means OUR world is upside-down...I wonder what those OTHER plants look like if what we see here are the roots? Hmmm...maybe it's time to go write again. I love it when photography does that to me.)

Very calming and tranquil capture, Tara. There is something very relaxing about calm water. Maybe because we ARE mostly water? Wonderful range of colors and contrasts in this lovely photo!
