Today's slim pickin's ? - I think not !
There were close to a 150 very ripe grapefruits be to picked - one basket just wasn't big enough, believe it or not - from one tree ! and all ripe at once, so waste not - want not - we gave most of them away, to friends, neighbours, retirement villages, and some other charitable institutions !

Last months flavour were Tangelos and before that Pummelos and we always have an abundance of Limes and Lemons.

Now, I know, they are not to everyone's taste and flavour but they are full of goodness, incredible juicy and apart from eating them on their own, also lovely in mixed drinks...wish I could share them with all my Rendo friends !

What a marvellous thing to grow!! I wish i was your neighbour..but then I should be growing them too! I wonder if you could find a recipe for perfume from them.

I'm glad that these fine fruit will find good homes. Seems that we have a lot of 'em here (Tucson, AZ) and they just seem to rot on the trees as there's little demand. Nice shot and ... bon appetit.

Bigger basket huh ? I think you might need a truck instead ! Sorta like 'it's raining Grapefruit'...but that would hurt, unless you have an iron umbrella ! Vibrant colours and nicely composed capture ! ~Cheers~

You certainly have a great feast here and I like this photo of all this golden beauty. You live in a great place to produce all this fruit. We stick to apples, apricots, cherries and grapes down here, not that I actually have any in the back yard though. Lovely of you to give the excess away as I'm sure it is appreciated.
