Description

Please take a moment to view full screen. Ishtar is whispering furiously in my ear now and has outlined this whole series. I am going to be very busy - hope to get in lots of posts. Lots of work in the material room for textures and a ton of postwork to get the lighting, colors and textures yet again. For Val for the perfect Enheduanna - Tara. She has been a long time coming, but you will see much of her now. In the throne room of the conquered city of Lagash, Sargon faces a dilemma: to make a last stand against Ishtar or follow the advice of his daughter Enheduanna, high priestess of the all powerful Akkadian moon God Sin. Come on Father, Ishtar has broken through the guards, she is at the door! I warned you against attacking the Sumerian temples; I warned you Ishtar would be enraged. You have created a real mess! Now she is here and we must flee. I am not going anywhere. I will meet this Sumerian war Goddess face to face and strike her down. No one can stop Sargon! Father don't be crazy! You may be the mightiest warrior on earth but even you are no match for the Goddess of War. You are mortal, you have no chance! I would rather die fighting than retreat. I have not come this far to be beaten by a woman, Goddess or not. Besides, there is no escape from this room but through those doors. I am staying here! No father, in the month that we have been at Lagash I have well explored these chambers. There is a secret passage from this room to the adjoining temple. We can still escape. You can regroup your forces and I will cast greater protection spells. We will once again strike at Sumer. But know this battle is hopeless. Come, let's go. Humm, Enheduanna, you have never failed to give your father good council. You are wise ... for a woman. Perhaps I have been blinded by my hate for Ishtar and all she represents. Ok, I will take your advice....yes, this is not a retreat, it is but a regrouping of forces! Ok daughter, lead the way. Previous

Excellent scene and dialogue - regrouping my bu%% he's just bailing period! What is really scary is that he talks about himself in the third person - truly, an unbalanced individual! not to mention thinking that he can defeat the Goddess of War!

Roxy, first of all this is such a beautiful scene and I can tell you poured so much of yourself into creating it. Everything about it from the artwork to the story is first rate. Gotta say I respect Sargon for wanting to stay and face her, but his daughter probably was smart in trying to convince him to leave.

A beautiful image for sure, I do have a problem with her skirt, it is not sitting quite right for her movement, it is hard to add all the skirt movements but it really would be worth the effort for such a beautiful scene!
