Description
These two were on a street corner near the Saturday Market in Portland, Oregon. They were loud and rude and preaching fire and brimstone. I watched for a while, but they weren't saying anything I hadn't heard before; they were just much noisier.
The postwork was a way to make them completely separate from their surroundings, which in many ways they already were.

Yeah no offense intended to anyone but me and these types really don't mix! Even though he has that silly sign, you can be sure that somewhere down the line he will be wanting money. Their version of 'God' always seems to need more money. For someone who created heaven and earth, he sure seems to have trouble managing his finances......

preaching fire and brimstone on the streets. I know they do not look happy but they was trying to stop people from going to hell. Only way into Heaven is thought Jesus. God use people to get His word out to other people. That his own way. Yes he do appear to some people too like he did to the church right after He die and rose from the dead. .. Guess i sound like these street preachers. Very good shot of them

These people scare me! If an eternity in heaven is my reward for doing the right thing, okay...bully for me and all that; but I cannot possibly imagine an eternity anywhere with these people, especially since a mundane TUESDAY is intolerable enough for me...I shudder to think about eternity in the afterlife with these sorts, so...as they'd undoubtedly be shocked to know...I'm not interested in their breed of salvation. And besides, they look so unhappy, as if being human is the worst thing in the world to them. How sad! Your postwork is quite fitting...they are so separate (but separation is at the core of being sanctified.) The human subject is quite compelling, and I often wonder what these people would be like without the insane zealotry that impersonates real belief. I think that's the irony of it all with them...if they believed half of what they say they believe, then they'd be content to keep their mouths shut. I don't think they're trying to convince US to change our ways, I think they're desperately trying to convince themselves that their beliefs are true, especially since REAL believers tend to lead by example rather than by command. Wonderful shot! Wonderful treatment, and what I really like is the fact that for as much as you may or may not agree with them, you've captured their humanity and shown it with more respect than THEY show for it. That takes some doing!
