Description
The next trek I'd like to take you on is Cottonwood cove. This area is every bit as beautiful as the north buttes! So if you do not succeed in winning the lottery required to enter the north buttes, hit the south wilderness. I strongly recommend this area!!!
Note that 4 wheel drive is a necessity to get up to the south Coyote buttes wilderness area accessed through the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. For those without experience driving in extremely sandy conditions remember that speed is your friend and if you do end up in a position where traction is lost don't continue, stop and let some air out of the tires, this often can get you out.
Whether your a viewer, commented, rater, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you

Stunning place and capture! It's like a layer cake and each layer is amazing! Beautiful clouds, wonderful collection of sandstone structures, and lovely foreground which has shadows from the clouds that bring it around full circle. I love the variation between the sage and the other greens in the foreground, and the complexity of the structures. Excellent shot!
