Description
Volunteer Park and the Lake View Cemetery sit atop Capitol Hill in Seattle, Washington. It's one of the highest points in the city, and commands an astonishing view of Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains.
Lake View Cemetery was established in 1872, around the time the original Seattle pioneers started kicking off. It's a pretty swanky place! At most cemeteries around here they let you have your dog on a leash as long as you clean up, but at Lake View, Mandy had to stay in the car. She didn't mind. All the windows were rolled down, we parked under a big tree, and she had a nice nap.
