Description

I missed this one. I was inside the museum and was standing right by the door to go out into the court yard. But never did. wish I had . I could got some real close up shots of this wonderful plane. What caught my eye outside was movement out the cornder of my eye and i saw the lady and the plane then. I rush to get the shot in with the lady. I remember my dad talking about Claire Lee Chennault because he worked at Chennault airbase here in Lake Charles intill it closed down and he retired. here a link to the Flying Tigers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Tigers thanks for lookingand commenting too

Just WHERE is this strange place where there are planes in the court yard and tanks, etc. in the middle of a residential complex? This is the strangest museum I've ever seen! Very interesting photos! Keep it coming! :)

great foto, as a kid i build a fabulous monogram 1/48 modelkit of this plane , i liked the way how they painted the teeth around the air intake.

Claire Lee Chennault was an amazing leader under very trying circumstances. Most impressive display of the venerable P40 Warhawk of the "Flying Tiger" hit and run air group!!!

This is quite nice! I love everything in it! It's also funny, because the nose of the plane with the teeth makes me think of Jaws while the flying tiger makes me think of Frosted Flakes...I'm weird!. I thin it is brilliant to include the young woman in the shot as well, she gives a great sense of scale and perspective and a very welcome human element. This is really well done!
