I actually have a nice clear image of the whole flower ... maybe I'll put it up later. :)

I love the tight crop of this as well as the soft and inviting color! I'm intrigued by the spiral shape as well...but I suspect that's because spirals like this are...well...universal. It also got me to wondering if all roses actually spiral in the same direction...maybe, or maybe not. I haven't really looked at roses for the directions of their spirals even though that's something I'd do. I'm weird like that. This is a super-gorgeous shot and I love what you've done with it. And that color...WOW!
