Description

The African Pygmy-falcon lives in eastern and southern Africa, the smallest raptor of the continent. As a small falcon, only 7 to 8 inches (19 to 20cm) long, it preys on insects, small reptiles and even small mammals. This is an adult. OMG, it looks so much like a baby penguin! Phenomenal capture of the cute little, all fluffed up, avian, Dana! I'd like to see it in action with a small reptile or mammal.

A tasty cricket should do for a treat...the fuzzy almost makes it look fledgling but closer I see it not. This a a new raptor for me to see and thanks for that and this good photo.
